There are all sorts of situations in our daily working lives in which we either lose patience and get worked up or rein in our emotions and stay silent. This behaviour has a direct impact on our performance, our work relations and the chances of success, both for us as an individual and for the company as a whole. Assertiveness is the ability to take your own needs into account without infringing on other people’s rights. In this seminar, you will learn to argue your case in front of co-workers and customers at various hierarchical levels. Drawing on a tried-and-tested grid for the analysis of interpersonal behaviour, we will develop communication techniques that make working relations beneficial for all involved.
